Circuit of The Americas(tm) announces on-sale date and ticket prices for 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX Nov. 15-17

Three-day general admission tickets offered at $169, personal seat licenses come with ticket price freeze

Austin, Texas, March 15, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Circuit of The Americas today announced that tickets for the 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, set for Nov. 15-17 in Austin, Texas, will go on sale Thursday, March 21, at noon CDT. Tickets for the penultimate race of the Formula 1™ season, held at the United States' only purpose-built Grand Prix facility, start at $169 per person for three-day general admission passes. Three-day passes include individual tickets to Friday's practice sessions, Saturday's practice and qualifying sessions and Sunday's races.

Circuit of The Americas hosted its inaugural Formula 1 event in November 2012 and enjoyed rave reviews from race fans, national and international media, and F1™ teams and drivers while achieving the second-highest attendance for a Grand Prix race last year, with 117,429 spectators on race day, Nov. 18. More than 265,000 fans visited the Circuit over the three-day sports and entertainment spectacle, making it the third most-attended event of the 2012 season. The nail-biting race was won in the final laps by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who starts the 2013 season for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team.

Reserved seating inventory for the 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX will be similar to the prior year's offerings with the best seats in the house available in the Main Grandstand and Turns 1 and 15. Personal seat licenses (PSL), which guarantee purchasers the ability to choose and hold their same seats for the length of the license, are available in these areas, as well as three-day premium passes, which afford PSL-like vantage points at a premium price.

Reserved grandstand bleacher seating is also available at Turns 3, 4, 5, 9, 11 and 12, ranging in price from $299 to $499 per person for a three-day ticket. Slight adjustments have been made to 2013 ticket prices to account for customer demand and feedback and to simplify pricing overall. All categories of the Circuit's ticket inventory that is available for purchase by the public will go on sale on March 21.

"We are excited to announce the on-sale date for tickets to our 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX as the new F1 season gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix this weekend," Circuit Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Geoff Moore said. "We had an incredible response to our 2012 event and sold out of tickets weeks before F1 drivers arrived in Austin. We wanted to get our tickets on sale significantly earlier this year to give fans more time to make travel plans to see the only Formula 1 Grand Prix in the United States. As promised, we've frozen ticket prices for personal seat license holders, and PSLs continue to offer tremendous value for customers who want to make a trip to the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX part of their annual sports and entertainment plans."

Beginning March 21 at noon CDT, tickets can be purchased online at www.circuitoftheamericas.com(under the EVENTS section of the website) or www.ticketmaster.com.
