TAMPA, Fla., March 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- World of Beer (WOB) a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, will expand into Cleveland, Ohio at 14701 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood on Tuesday, March 19th. This is World of Beer's 39th location, and its third location in Ohio. WOB Lakewood will boast over 500 bottles, 50 rotating taps and two cask engines.
A 180 square-foot patio complements the 3,600 square-foot building. WOB Lakewood is located in the INA Building on the corner of Detroit Avenue and Warren, and lies directly adjacent to Eddie N' Eddies. WOB Lakewood has partnered with Eddie N' Eddies, Donatos Pizza, Dave's Cosmic Subs, and Jimmy John's to provide food delivery.

Greene, along with his partner Mark Pottschmidt, were born and raised in Ohio, and were first introduced to 'WOB Culture' when World of Beer opened in Coconut Creek, Florida in a building owned by Pottschmidt. This is now their third World of Beer location together.
World of Beer Lakewood always supports local breweries and have incorporated as many as possible. WOB events include monthly brewery nights and spotlights, mini tap takeovers and holiday-themed events celebrating St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, WOBtoberfest and more.
Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3 – 7. Weekly promotions include, Sunday and Monday: Service Industry Night with half off select drafts 9-close, Tuesday: Loyalty Night with 25% off bottles, Wednesday: WOB University Night with half off for faculty and students from 9-close and Thursday: Ladies' Night with half off select drafts and wines all day.
'WOB Culture' is unlike any other. The specially trained staff completed an extensive, two-week beer school, and are on-hand to guide customers through the experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.
WOB rewards its customers by offering a 'Loyalty Club Program' that enables them to earn points on trying different brews. Customers earn one point for every different beer purchased at WOB, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all patrons.
