BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Mar 28, 2013) - NaviNet, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Daniel Timblin Chief Financial Officer. NaviNet is the nation's largest user-visible real-time healthcare network for physicians, hospitals, and health insurers, connecting nearly 70 percent of clinician offices, 350,000 clinical and administrative users, and 2,000 hospital facilities in the United States.
"I am honored to join NaviNet," said Timblin. "The dramatic forces reshaping the fundamental business models of payers and providers offer a significant opportunity for NaviNet." Most recently a member of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee's leadership team, Timblin will oversee all of NaviNet's financial-related activities, including the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the company's short- and long-term strategic financial objectives, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
Timblin brings a formidable background in finance, with more than 15 years of experience and strong relationships with key healthcare payer and provider organizations across the country. During his seven-year career with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, he held several senior finance and strategy roles that helped the organization strengthen its market-leading position in Tennessee, refocus the business to improve the collaboration between healthcare payers and providers, and prepare for industry reform.
"We are thrilled that Danny Timblin is joining NaviNet's top management team as Chief Financial Officer," stated NaviNet Chief Executive Officer Frank Ingari. "NaviNet is scaling up to meet the demands of the rapidly growing healthcare network market. Danny brings the leadership, strategic thinking, and change management experience that are needed to ensure we are properly equipped to serve our large payer customers and to engage in partnering with the clinical applications, analytics, and HIE vendors who seek access to the unique NaviNet user base."
