Springfield Clinic Selects Information Builders BI Solution to Meet the Needs of Patients, Partners, and Other Providers

Springfield Clinic is using WebFOCUS to deliver current insight to clinicians and administrators while enhancing its data sharing capabilities.

As Springfield Clinic's integrated, multi-specialty care model became more popular among patients, physicians, and other providers in the area, administrators faced a series of data management challenges. IT professionals wrestled with silos of data that were difficult to link together. These data management challenges were magnified as Springfield Clinic prepared to share more clinical and administrative information electronically throughout its health network.

Previously, Springfield Clinic used Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. They found it to have significant limitations. IT leaders decided to acquire an enterprise-caliber BI system that would make information delivery, reporting, and data sharing more seamless. They evaluated BI tools from several vendors before selecting WebFOCUS. Springfield Clinic liked the power and ease with which WebFOCUS could combine data from multiple sources. In addition, the WebFOCUS GUI development environment, guided ad hoc reporting templates, and InfoAssist end-user reporting tools made it easy to build a wide variety of new reports.
