PITTSBURGH, Pa., May 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTS International has been honored by The Challenge Program Inc. (TCP) with the organization's Crystal Owl Award for business partner of the year.
TCP engages businesses to partner with high schools to make students aware of the importance of attending school, focusing on academics and getting involved in community service, as well as introducing students to employment opportunities available to them in their communities.
The Crystal Owl event annually honors a business, an educator and a student who each highlight the mission of TCP and/or contribute in a meaningful way to the program.
FTSI sponsored four high schools in the TCP program for the 2012-2013 school year, providing both financial and volunteer assistance. FTSI employees visited the schools and spoke to students about career opportunities available for them after high school.
