CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - May 30, 2013) - The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will host an Innovation Series Event, "Water Innovation: Making a Splash in Massachusetts," on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
Living in coastal New England you may not know that less than 1% of the planet's water is available for human consumption, much of which still requires costly treatment before it can be deemed "drinkable." Water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource, bringing it to the forefront of international relations discussions.
This increased focus on the issue of water scarcity is a driver for innovators and emerging technologies and presents an opportunity for start-up companies in Boston's entrepreneurial ecosystem to join the innovators that are already at work to address this growing international problem. At this year's final MIT Innovation Series event, we'll hear some of hottest water tech innovators in the Boston area discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the growing global demand for fresh water. Come enjoy a lively discussion from our expert panel on the needs and drivers for water innovation from both technological and policy perspectives.
