"We have had good support from community leaders, the media and agents, but the ridership we need just isn't there," said Pursey. "We recognize that there is a need for service in Hastings, Red Wing and Lake City, but we think the need is better met by a van type of service that brings passengers to one of our main routes in Saint Paul, Rochester or Minneapolis."
Jefferson Lines will continue to provide bus service to many communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Montana, Wyoming and Texas.
