PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 27, 2013) - People Power Company, developer of the groundbreaking app Presence that transforms your old iPhones and iPads into video monitoring systems, continues to reinvent smart home services featuring smart phone control with plans to launch Presence Pro. To increase funding for the development of Presence Pro and Presence 2.0, People Power is launching a campaign on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website that helps fund creative ideas. The first 500 supporters will receive the early bird special of $25 on Presence Pro.
"We are extremely excited to build pro video features that our users are requesting, with higher quality, longer and more configurable motion detection videos that can be easily shared on social networks," said Gene Wang, CEO of People Power. "Along with our innovative new Presence Pro service, we also wanted to innovate in our business model by launching this crowdfunding campaign to involve and reward our users and fans."
With the availability of Presence Pro, more efficient and effective real-time video monitoring that's still affordable can take place. Features will include:
- High resolution video clips that are longer and configurable
- Secure video storage in the cloud allowing you to see video alerts from anywhere
- Pro Web Console supporting multiple cameras, devices and user permissions
- Pro Alerts allowing you to notify friends and family when motion is detected
- Pro motion detection with sensitivity control to reduce false detection
People Power is also extending the free version of Presence beyond iOS-based cameras by adding android support, web browser support, smart plugs, thermostat controls and robotic camera holders. These developments make monitoring easier by being able to simply turn lights on or off, change the temperature or move around the space when no one is around.
"Presence 2.0 will remain free, while controlling a wide range of devices such as Android phones, smart plugs, connected thermostats and cool robots from within the app," said Wang. "Indiegogo is the right place to garner support for our Presence roadmap because it allows people to back projects that they find useful and use every day."
People Power is also opening up the Presence platform to hardware and software developers to easily add new connected devices and software intelligence. This will enable the eco-system of Presence-enhanced devices to grow organically.
