Emerson Poynter LLP Announces Conditional Certification of Lawsuit Against Southern Paramedic, Inc and Southern Care, Inc.


LITTLE ROCK, Ark., July 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Emerson Poynter LLP (www.emersonpoynter.com), a national law firm with offices in Little Rock, Arkansas and Houston, Texas, announces that on July 24, 2013, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas, Western Division, Judge Brian Miller conditionally certified a class of EMTs, Paramedics and Ambulance Drivers in a lawsuit against Southern Paramedic, Inc, et. al. (Case No: 4:11CV00760) for violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

The complaint alleges the Defendants violated the FLSA by, among other ways, failing to pay its employees all overtime and paying Plaintiffs and other employees less than minimum wages.
