LONDON--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2013) - The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on advancing the employment candidate experience, today announced details of the first-ever U.K. Candidate Experience Council. Composed of nine leading voices from human resources, recruiting and talent acquisition, the Candidate Experience Council was created to mould and develop the future of the Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards and benchmarking programme, and help elevate and advocate the importance of providing positive candidate experience in the recruiting and screening process.
Designed to benchmark the experience companies offer candidates throughout the recruitment process, the U.K. CandE Awards honour those organisations that implement outstanding strategies to provide positive experiences and set a high standard for how they engage and treat jobseekers. Now open to qualifying organisations, the 2013 awards programme consists of three survey rounds, including a multi-dimensional survey designed to capture and assess the nominated company's recruitment processes and practises impacting candidate experience. All companies with recruiting operations based in the U.K. are encouraged to apply. Participation is free and confidential.
In addition to keeping the CandE Awards programme up-to-date on the latest industry research and information, the Council will offer ideas to enhance and promote increased awareness by conducting surveys and outreach, as well as analysis and reports based data from the CandE Awards. The Candidate Experience Council for 2013 consists of ten industry experts, including:
- Bill Boorman, founder, #GlobalTru, the world's largest series of recruiting events
- Jenny DeVaughn, senior director, Employment Branding, Mobile and Social Media, Randstad Sourceright
- Andrew Gadomski, founder of Aspen Advisors
- Kevin W. Grossman, director of Content Development, Peoplefluent; founder and writer, Reach-West
- Belinda Johnson, founder, Worklab
- Jamie Leonard, managing director, Reconverse
- Sean Sheppard, co-founder and vice president of Sales, TalentCircles
- Bryan Wempen, co-founder, ceVoke and co-host of DriveThruHR
- Felix Wetzel, Strategy Development director for Evenbase
- Alan Whitford, founder, managing partner and recruitment strategist, Abtech Partnership
"In establishing the Council, we have assembled a truly impressive roster of experts from across the HR community who will be instrumental in promoting the CandE Awards and shaping the direction of future research on candidate experience," said Jeremy Tipper, member of Talent Board, the founding organisation of the Candidate Experience Awards.
"The success of the CandE Awards relies on the hard work of volunteers who generously donate their time and energy to advancing a clear understanding of how recruiting and hiring practises impact talent acquisition and business success. We are honoured to enjoy such profound and growing interest across the industry and to be working with the Council members," commented Gerry Crispin, industry expert, Talent Board co-founder and Chief Navigator of CareerXroads.
The Candidate Experience Awards released its "Candidate Experience 2012, United Kingdom" report based on data collected during the 2012 CandE Awards earlier this year.
