IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 29, 2013) - HomeAid America, a national non-profit provider of housing for homeless families and individuals for more than 20 years, announced the election of Scott Stowell, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Pacific Homes, to its Board of Directors. Stowell has long been a leader in the housing industry and Standard Pacific Homes is one of America's largest homebuilders, landing in the top ten in revenue nationally in 2012, according to the Builder 100 list.

Scott Stowell first joined Standard Pacific Homes in 1986 as project manager in the Orange County Division, and was promoted to various executive positions including Vice President of Project Development, President of the Orange County Division and President of the Southern California Region, and in May 2007 was named Chief Operating Officer of Standard Pacific Homes. In May of 2011 he became President of the company. On January 1, 2012, Stowell was named Chief Executive Officer of Standard Pacific Homes.
Stowell is actively involved in the California Building Industry Association and has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. He is also active in the Leading Builders of America, of which Standard Pacific Homes is a member. Stowell's commitment to community service includes serving on the Advisory Boards of the Orange County Management Association and Pretend City, Orange County's emerging Children's Museum.
