OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL--(Marketwired - Sep 25, 2013) - Today, The Joint Commission announced CareMinders® Home Care, Inc., has been awarded the 2013 Enterprise Champion for Quality award. The award recognizes CareMinders for its dedication to its franchisees in promoting the highest level of quality for those they serve. CareMinders Home Care is a franchise business that offers companionship, personal, skilled care and related home support services and assistance to all ages of handicapped, convalescing and dependent individuals in their own homes, and when permitted, in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted care facilities and other medical settings.
CareMinders Home Care is the first Joint Commission accredited franchisor to receive this recognition and was instrumental in identifying the overall market needs for this type of franchisor distinction. The Joint Commission accredited organizations that are franchisees of CareMinders Home Care will be able to display an award logo alongside The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval to distinguish their business.
Currently, home care and ambulatory franchisors are eligible to apply for award consideration. The award carries unique eligibility requirements relevant to franchisors: the franchisor must require every franchise to become accredited by The Joint Commission; at the time of application, the franchisor must have a minimum of 10 franchises accredited and in good standing with The Joint Commission; and the franchisor must demonstrate that at least 95 percent of their eligible franchises are accredited and in good standing. The award will be presented annually and is effective for one year.
