Emmy(R) Award Winning Actor Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad" Fame Hosts Will Rogers Institute PSA Campaign Stressing the Warning Signs and Symptoms of Asthma

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 30, 2013) - Bryan Cranston has made waves over the years playing the infamous Walter White in the AMC drama series, Breaking Bad. On screen, through his role as White, Cranston has portrayed a father and husband struggling with lung cancer all while making some questionable moral decisions, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats through this five season run. The past few weeks leading up to the much anticipated series finale have been no exception, delivering record breaking numbers. Last night's series finale went out with a bang, as millions of viewers tuned in to find out how Walter White survived the mess he had created so many seasons ago.

In real life, Cranston has incredible morals and is sensitive to giving back by lending himself to The Will Rogers Institute to spread awareness for the warning signs and symptoms of asthma. As the son of a longtime supporter of this charity, Cranston was naturally recruited to help teach the general public some simple warning signs to be aware of. Cranston is passionate about good health and understands how debilitating asthma can be for children and adults trying to maintain a healthy and active life. Cranston stars in a PSA campaign that highlights the danger signs and health risks associated with asthma to inform viewers about how asthma can affect almost every area of your life. Cranston goes on to cover the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment.

About 1 in 12 people (about 25 million) have asthma, and the numbers are increasing every year. The disease is also one of the country's most common and costly illnesses, costing the US about $56 billion in medical costs, lost school and work days. Asthma is a chronic pulmonary condition in which the airways become blocked or narrowed when stimulated by allergens or other environmental triggers. Patients with asthma often experience difficulty breathing, wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath.
