SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Oct 21, 2013) - Green Endeavors, Inc. (
Richard Surber, the CEO of GRNE, observed that: "Our training and recruitment program is one of the best in the nation according to Salon Today. Our training program which is known as the "New Artist Program" is robust and rigorous. The education program lasts 11 months and consists of Monday and Wednesday classes that include both theory and hands on training for a total of about 10 hours of training per week. Each stylist must complete a styling passport and meet various benchmarks that are divided into 3 phases over the course of the 11 months."
Mr. Surber continued, "A well trained staff is the life blood of any high-end service oriented business like ours. We are currently pushing to hire and retain at least 20 new stylists to fully staff our existing salons and to set the stage for opening our 4th location. Staffing is a constant battle that we are winning because our in salon education program is the best in Utah."
New stylists are not allowed on the floor until they are capable of meeting our standards which usually takes them about 3 months at which point they work as junior stylists for a minimum of 30 hours per week while completing our program. At the end of the New Artist Program, each stylist auditions to become a senior stylist. New Artist prices start at $18 per haircut. Our senior stylists charge as much as $90 per hair cut.
Mr. Surber further stated, "Our education program is the foundation that will allow our organization to grow with a high baseline of consistent competency. Great stylists are not born they are made through rigorous education and hours of training. Education and growth are two of our core values."
The director of the program is Logan Fast our vice president and a top Aveda colorist and certified Aveda Purefessional. His team consists of several staff members. Mr. Fast is a regular with Aveda's New York Fashion Week Team. This last weekend he had the privilege of assisting Aveda's Global Art Director Antoinette Beenders at Aveda's Congress event in Minneapolis.
