ALISO VIEJO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 22, 2013) - OCTANe, the Orange County startup accelerator dedicated to connecting people and ideas with capital and resources to fuel technology growth and create jobs, today kicked off its eighth annual Medical Device and Investor Forum. The annual event focuses on the most important factors that are impacting the healthcare and medical device industries; along with the convergence between healthcare and information technology.
The signature event highlights keynote speakers who are leaders in the medical field:
- Dr. Rick Afable, president and CEO of Covenant Health Network will focus on how to empower the consumer to take an active role in healthcare delivery to help increase efficiencies in the system.
- Joe Kiani, founder, chairman and CEO of Masimo Corporation will examine how to eliminate preventable patient deaths by sharing data.
- Paul LaViolette, partner at SV Life Sciences will report on medical device investment opportunities.
- Dr. Harry Greenspun, senior advisor for Healthcare Transformation & Technology at the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions will address emerging trends that face the healthcare industry in mobile technology.
