Irondale, AL, Oct. 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The EWTN Global Catholic Network is proud to partner with Magnificat and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to bring you "The Magnificat Day," a celebration of the graces of the Year of Faith, on Saturday, Nov. 9. The event, hosted by Doug Keck and Johnnette Benkovic live from the Philadelphia Convention Center, will feature Fr. Robert Barron of the famed "Catholicism" series and Dr. Peter John Cameron, O.P., Magnificat Editor-in-Chief.
EWTN's coverage will begin at 7 a.m. ET and end at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Eucharistic Procession through the streets of Philadelphia.
"We are thrilled to be working with Magnificat to bring EWTN's viewers this special day," said EWTN President & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw.
EWTN Executive Vice President & COO Doug Keck agreed. "So many of our viewers use 'Magnificat' magazine to follow the Mass, and have benefitted from its many special features including the art, the prayers, the profiles of saints, and especially the daily devotions."
"I believe this day will be specially blessed," said Johnnette Benkovic, host of "Women of Grace" on EWTN. "Magnificat Foundation has been entrusted with the U.S. pilgrimage of the relics of St. Therese of Lisieux and her parents, Blessed Louis and Zelie Martin, and these relics will be available for veneration at the venue. How important is the witness of the saints to us in this our day and time! Their example inspires all of us to be men and women of heroic virtue 'for such a time as this.'"
