The patient simulation series' aid hiring managers in understanding how candidates among a group compare to each other. Created in partnership with Biddle Consultant Group, Inc., national leaders in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) consulting, litigation support, personnel testing software development, and Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) outsourcing and software, over 100 subject matter experts participated in the content validity study involving the use of these situational judgment tests. With over 65 video vignettes for three nursing specialties, Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, and Labor & Delivery, the clinical competence video SJT boast specificity, meaning that the competencies being assessed are highly specific to a particular patient care arena. Characteristics such as body language, tone of voice, and environmental factors, parallel the actual scenarios and environments in which nurses interact with patients every day.

Filming took place in a large community hospital in the Northeast (700+ beds) ensuring the realistic setting and modality of testing is second to none. The video vignettes convey non-verbal communication cues, interpersonal behaviors, and critical thinking opportunities that are not present in paper/pencil examinations.

Within this portion of Prophecy there are over 180 exams with department specific exams covering all nursing areas as well as most of allied health positions.

This video-based situational judgment test poses difficult or tricky situations that occurs on the job and asks the applicants to identify the most effective and least effective way to handle the situation.
  • Behavioral Attribute Assessment that identify applicants possessing fundamental behaviors needed to complement the established organizational culture allowing hospitals to identify the clinicians with behavioral characteristics that predict high performance and match them to departments that best fit their personality traits. In addition this piece measures engagement and flags potential disruptive behaviors that may occur on the job.
