NORFOLK, Neb., Nov. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STERLING COMPUTERS CORPORATION, a leading provider of IT sales and services, announced today it was chosen as one of 25 prime recipients by the United States Air Force for the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Products Contract. The NETCENTS-2 contract will enable the Air Force, and other Department of Defense (DoD) and federal agencies to acquire a broad range of networking equipment, servers, storage, peripherals, multimedia hardware, software, identity management/biometric hardware and software, and warranty and maintenance contracts. The contract is valid for three years with three, one-year options and a maximum ceiling of $6.9 billion.
The objective of the NETCENTS-2 program is to support missions that require voice, data and video communications, information services, solutions and products; supplying the right information, in the right format, to the right place, at the right time. The program is designed to be efficient and effective in both times of peace and war, safeguarding success across the spectrum of Air Force and DoD operations.
