HOUSTON, Nov. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Comerica Bank at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013, as they award $20,000 through the Partnership Grant Program (PGP) to Houston Citizens Chamber Foundation.
Houston Citizens Chamber Foundation is a nonprofit established to give support toward advancing, educating, equipping and empowering minority business entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. This 37-year-old entity has partnered with local businesses and higher education institutions to assist minority entrepreneurs in generating and facilitating growth for their businesses by providing technical assistance services.
FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in grants through its PGP this year. The grants provide funding for the operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development.
