NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 19, 2013) - WPP's Geometry Global, the largest and most geographically complete activation agency in the world, announced today the joining of Laura Johnston and John Munyan to the agency's Chicago and San Francisco offices respectively.
Formed earlier this year, Geometry Global is the combined operations of G2 Worldwide, OgilvyAction and JWTAction and builds on a shared heritage of strategic thinking, award-winning creativity and specialist capability that has made each network an industry leader. As creative leads, Johnston and Munyan are responsible for guiding outstanding and award-winning campaigns and executions that inspire consumers and shoppers to act.
Johnston has spent almost 20 years working in the consumer activation space for agencies such as Upshot, Zipatoni and DraftFCB, where she earned both a Shopper Marketing Effie and Gold Reggie award for her work on the United States Postal Service. In her career as a creative leader, Laura's worked on Fortune 500 clients including Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Visa, Harley Davidson, Jack Daniels, Microsoft, SC Johnson, Levi's and Absolut Vodka. Most recently, Johnston served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning at The Jellyvision Lab, a Chicago startup specializing in interactive communication.
"It's such an exciting time to be a marketer -- especially working in the digital and shopper spaces," said Johnston, "and I'm thrilled to join the team in Chicago and an agency with so much passion and knowledge around customer and brand interaction."
Munyan joins Geometry Global from Salesforce.com, where he defined the brand voice for the company as Associate Creative Director. Prior to his time at Saleforce.com, Munyan spent more than seven years at Duncan/Channon, most recently as Creative Director. At Duncan/Channon he developed and led creative strategies for clients such as Hard Rock, Birkenstock, Essurance and Kendall-Jackson. Munyan's work has been honored with a Pencil at the One Show Design Awards, two Best-in-Show designations at the San Francisco Addys and shortlisted at Cannes.
"I'm excited to get back to the challenge of helping multiple brands shape their message," said Munyan. "The tremendous resources and talent across Geometry Global's network present boundless creative opportunities and I look forward to working with our clients to bring them to life."
