CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - Nov 27, 2013) - NorthStar Ford Calgary recently partnered with the NHL hockey team Calgary Flames in an effort to raise money for the Calgary Homeless Foundation.

For every successful penalty kill at home the Flames have this season NorthStar will donate $200 into the pot. It will grow and if the Flames score in a shorthanded situation that pot gets emptied. The donation will be split two ways between the Calgary Homeless Foundation and a hockey fan who is in the building that night. On Nov. 14, 2013, one lucky fan and the Foundation split $4,200! Way to go, Flames, for taking care of all those shorthanded situations to help the jackpot grow and way to go, Lee Stempniak, for burying one against the Dallas Stars.
The Calgary Homeless Foundation has worked to reduce homelessness in the city since 1998 with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness for everyone in Calgary.
