HAMMOND, La., Dec. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join Mayor Mayson Foster, along with representatives from First Guaranty Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas), today as they announce a $500,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to Nebillie, Inc.
Nebillie, Inc. will use the money to renovate the Terrace of Hammond apartments. The project involves the rehabilitation of 11 residential buildings and one clubhouse, which will result in 79, one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental units.
AHP grants are awarded through FHLB Dallas member financial institutions, such as First Guaranty Bank, to assist in the development of affordable owner-occupied and rental housing for very low- to moderate-income households. This year, FHLB Dallas awarded $11.3 million in AHP funding to 36 projects across its five-state District of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Texas.
