HOUSTON, Dec. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, along with Amegy Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) as they present a $500,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to Temenos Community Development Corporation (Temenos CDC).
Temenos CDC will use the AHP grant to assist in the construction of Temenos Place Apartments II, an 80-unit apartment complex near Houston's downtown area that will serve very low-income and homeless residents.
AHP grants are awarded through FHLB Dallas member financial institutions, such as Amegy Bank, to assist in the development of affordable owner-occupied and rental housing for very low- to moderate-income households. This year, FHLB Dallas awarded $11.3 million in AHP funding to 36 projects across its five-state District of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Texas.
The public and media are welcome to attend the event.
