Concurrent Technologies Corporation Awarded Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Contract Worth Up to $15.6 Million

JOHNSTOWN, Pa., Dec. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has been awarded a task order contract under SeaPort-e to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Materials Division, Code 61. This competitively-bid, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is worth up to $15.6 million over three years.

NSWCCD Code 61 has the responsibility to plan and conduct both research and development and in-service projects pertaining to the development and testing of material systems for use in ship and ship systems. This work spans a broad spectrum from basic research to shipboard application of metallic and nonmetallic materials, associated processes and their applications to Naval requirements.
 
Under this new task order, CTC and its teammates will perform material and technology development and provide in-service support. The team will also perform planning, provide analyses, conduct engineering, support experiments, and develop documentation to support program needs.
