TRC Acquires Energy Services Business From EMCOR Group, Inc.

Acquisition Enhances TRC's Energy Efficiency Engineering Capabilities


LOWELL, MA--(Marketwired - Jan 6, 2014) - TRC Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRR), a recognized leader in engineering, consulting and construction management services to the energy, environmental and infrastructure markets, today announced that it has acquired EMCOR Energy Services, Inc. (EES), a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), in an all-cash transaction. TRC expects the transaction to be accretive during the second half of fiscal 2014.

Based in San Francisco, EES provides engineering consulting services to utilities to support their energy programs in California. Services include related engineering, technical review, compliance, verification, and administration of utilities' energy efficiency programs. EES revenue for the calendar year 2013 is estimated at $4.4 million.
