HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Jan 22, 2014) - CPA firm MiddletonRaines+Zapata, LLP announces merger with Cindi Johnson, P.C. and welcomes Cindi Johnson as Trust & Estate Tax Partner. The merger was finalized on January 13, 2014, bringing 7 more members to the MiddletonRaines+Zapata team.

An expert CPA, Johnson brings over 34 years of accounting experience to the firm, with a primary focus on the tax needs of individuals, trusts, estates, and small business owners. Her comprehensive estate tax knowledge complements MiddletonRaines+Zapata's existing tax and audit service offerings.

A native Texan, Johnson first opened her practice in Houston in 1980 after seven years spent as a Corporate Controller for PACE Management and Concerts. She is an active member of the Houston chapter of the Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA), having spent the last two years as the chairman of the Relations with Taxing Authority Committee. Johnson was named outstanding committee chairman of the year, a reflection not only of her commitment to foster and maintain an open and beneficial dialogue in the tax arena, but also of her exceptional knowledge and professional alacrity. She was elected to the HSCPA Board of Directors January 15^th as further proof of her dedication to, and comprehensive knowledge of, the accounting field.
