Dr. Oz THE GOOD LIFE, a new magazine from Mehmet Oz, M.D., and Hearst Magazines, debuts with a March/April issue that hits newsstands nationwide on February 4. The brand introduces a fresh, original voice to the market, covering everything from physical and emotional well-being, to food, beauty, finances, diet and exercise, all through the prism of Dr. Oz's upbeat personality and insights into the relationship between health and personal fulfillment.
"There's an inextricable link between health and every area of our lives," said Dr. Oz, host of The Dr. Oz Show and founding editor of Dr. Oz THE GOOD LIFE. "I want this magazine to be the place for women to find information that enlightens them, but also delights them and emotionally connects with them, so they can make the best decisions to live full, happy and joyful lives."
"Dr. Oz has a built-in trust factor and an energy and enthusiasm that really resonate with women," said editor-in-chief Alison Brower. "It is so inspiring to work with him, and to bring his passion and persona to life on our pages."
"We have a successful track record of partnering with great brands to introduce new products that redefine categories and are embraced enthusiastically by readers and marketers," said David Carey, president of Hearst Magazines. "Dr. Oz is an ideal collaborator, and THE GOOD LIFE brings his positive message and winning personality to a new platform as an entertaining, informative, vibrant lifestyle magazine."
Dr. Oz's presence and perspective run throughout the magazine. Each issue opens with "From the Heart," a letter in which he shares his vision, personal anecdotes and scrapbook-style photos. In addition to his "Ask Dr. Oz Anything" column answering readers' most pressing health, nutrition and lifestyle queries, he weighs in with advice throughout the magazine on everything from the healthiest way to cook pasta to the best approach to a social hug. Each issue closes with a recurring column, "Dr. Oz's Prescription," an inspiring call to action for readers.
Dr. Oz is joined by an always-changing A-Team of contributors, including doctors, personal trainers and financial experts who provide guidance for readers. Lisa Oz serves as editor-at-large.
