CARY, NC--(Marketwired - Jan 28, 2014) - The Lorom Industrial Group, a privately-held manufacturer of bulk wire, cable assemblies, and electronic subassemblies, has introduced patented E-MAXX technology for Telecom and Information Technology applications. Available initially with SFP+ (SFF-8431) and QSFP (SFF-8436) connectors, these products support at IEEE 802.3ba and 802.3bj, InfiniBand™ QDR, FDR, and EDR, and Fibre Channel applications at speeds from 10 to 25 Gb/s/lane. This provides aggregate link data rates from 20 to 200 Gb/s. Lorom's superior bulk wire technology and industry-leading internal PCB designs provide excellent insertion and return loss combined with low levels of crosstalk and common mode conversion.
Passive cables are available in AWG 32 to 26 conductor sizes for short links, with active equalized cables available for longer link lengths. Lorom is a member of the InfiniBand Trade Association, and participates in the development of its specifications as well as those of the IEEE 802.3 committee. A number of Lorom's cables have been tested and shown to be compliant with the IBTA specification at InfiniBand PlugFests, and are listed on the IBTA Integrators' Lists.
