Austin, TX, Feb. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- Open Mortgage Corporate and one of its Branches located in Huntsville, Alabama has agreed to donate $200 to Officer Jared Murphy for each loan application taken by the Huntsville Branch from February 1 through July 31, 2014 (loans must close with Open Mortgage).
Four weeks ago, while off duty, Officer Jared Murphy of the Huntsville, Alabama Police Department was involved in a head-on vehicular accident. The man that hit Officer Murphy's vehicle was killed. Officer Murphy received injuries, including broken bones in his legs and feet. Officer Murphy is still in the hospital, but will soon be moving to a rehabilitation facility. It is estimated that his recovery time will be about six to eight months, before Jared can return to light duty in the Police Department. Meanwhile, Jared's family needs financial assistance to get by.
