WASHINGTON, Feb. 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bank of Georgetown continues its expansion, today announcing the relocation of its corporate headquarters and the opening of an adjoining branch at 1115 30th Street NW, just south of M Street in Washington, D.C. Bank of Georgetown's 11th banking location in the Washington metro area will be named "The Winsor Branch" in honor of its co-founder and late chairman, Curtin Winsor III.
The Bank partnered with the architecture firm CORE and Kane Construction to renovate what was originally a Washington Gas Company maintenance facility.

After 10 years and multiple expansions at its original location on 31st Street, nearly 50 employees moved into the 17,400 square-foot facility, which features multiple conference rooms, a boardroom and more space for day-to-day lending and deposit operations. Bank executives felt strongly that leaving their original headquarters did not require moving out of Georgetown.
"Our roots are in Georgetown, and we are committed to supporting its dynamic business community; staying in the neighborhood was a priority for us," Fitzgerald said. "Luckily, we found a building just a few blocks away that will enhance the work environment for our professionals and provide the necessary efficiencies to support our expanding loan and deposit operations."
The full-service adjoining branch is the Bank's second in the neighborhood; its first facility opened in 2005 at the corner of Wisconsin and K Street. A second branch provides a more accessible banking location for upper Georgetown businesses and residents, while offering a public remembrance of Winsor, a native Washingtonian and Georgetown resident who passed away in December 2012.

The branch features a 24-hour walk-up ATM and a full array of retail and commercial cash management and deposit services. Lobby hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00AM-4:00PM and Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM. Customers can also bank online 24 hours a day and have access to nationwide ATMs, surcharge-free.
