Patients who are looking for independence and more control of their health care may find that dialysis in the home setting allows them more flexibility to keep up with their active lifestyle. With HHD, patients and their care partner perform dialysis at home after a few weeks of training in the dialysis home training center. 

Patients and caretakers may face questions during their transition to HHD because the equipment and procedures are new to them. While clinicians focus on patient and caregiver training and educating, HHD Concierge Service offers expertise and assistance to simplify the HHD start-up process for both patients and dialysis providers. Services include:

As part of the program, an HHD Concierge Service representative will also arrange for a Fresenius Medical Care Renal Therapies Group equipment specialist to install the 2008K@home hemodialysis machine and reverse osmosis (RO) system, and sample water that's used for home dialysis treatment.
