EnergySolutions Finalizes Acquisition of Studsvik, Inc. Assets and Technology

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Mar 4, 2014) - EnergySolutions, Inc. today announced it has officially completed its purchase of Studsvik, Inc's Tennessee processing facilities located in Erwin and Memphis, Tennessee. The acquisition also includes the exclusive rights to its THOR technology in the commercial North America markets and China.

This agreement also includes EnergySolutions' acquisition of Studsvik Inc's membership interest in Semprasafe, LLC, which was a joint venture with EnergySolutions. 

Effective immediately the Erwin facility, acquired in the acquisition, which focuses on turnkey disposition of low and high activity ion exchange resins, will be called "Erwin ResinSolutions."

EnergySolutions offers customers a full range of integrated services and solutions, including nuclear operations, characterization, decommissioning, decontamination, site closure, transportation, nuclear materials management, processing, recycling, and disposition of nuclear waste, and research and engineering services across the nuclear fuel cycle.
