NEW YORK, March 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum is moving forward in developing its master exhibit & attractions plan. It has tapped hip hop pioneers Shabba Doo of the 'Breakin' film series, Debbie Dee of the film 'Beatstreet', and supreme queen lyricist Roxanne Shante' of the iconic 'Juice Crew' with producer Marley Marl and DJ Radio host Mr. Magic who was a founding advisory board member of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame to consult and serve on the museum development team with planners, designers, architects, and real estate developers.

They will join Chairman JT Thompson, Easy AD, and DJ Lord Yoda X serving as Co-Chairs on the various Committees including Preservation & Exhibits, The Alliance of Museum & Educational Institutions, Artist & Industry Relations, and the Education & Culture, and Young Men and Women's Empowerment Program. "Each of them are respected professionals in their crafts and bring a unique skillset, perspective, and appreciation of hip hop music & culture. They know and lived the history, and envision how we can tell our story, preserve our history, and inspire a new generation of artists, dancers, deejays, graffiti-arts, entrepreneurs, educators, professionals, and families to create new positive opportunities to impact jobs, careers, education advancement, and socio-economic empowerment programs in communities across America," stated Chairman JT Thompson. All of the Co-chairs will also serve as associate consulting producers on the upcoming Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show and on other future co-branded events and productions.
Adolfo ' Shabba-Doo' Quinones is an award winning Choreographer/Director and a forefather of hip-hop dancing, as a founding member of "The Original Lockers" and as Original Soul Train Gang dance member. He starred in the movies "Breakin', and Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo. He is writing his biography, teaching dance, and preparing to produce and direct the 'Breakin: The Uprising' movie.
Roxanne Shanté started at age fourteen and recorded one of the first classic diss records in hip hop history 'Roxanne's Revenge' targeted at UTFO. She received gold and platinum status on her singles and is renowned for her ability to freestyle entire songs. She is a breast cancer survivor and committed to uplifting the community, and helping to empower girls and young women.
Debora 'Queen MC Debbie D' Hooper's hip hop career began with the formation of a group called DJ Patty Duke & The Jazzy 5 MCs, and later appeared as MC Debbie D and DJ Wanda Dee. She later performed in the Harry Belafonte produced film 'Beatstreet' with history making MCs Sha Rock and Queen Lisa Lee in the group US Girls. She presently holds a Doctorate in Ministry and is a Pastor, Professor and Author. Her desire is to empower, educate and equip young people for the future.
The HHHOF Museum & Entertainment Complex features Museum, Retail Store, Arcade, Restaurant, Concert Lounge, and TV Studios. It will serve 1,000,000 visitors, fans, tourists, and students annually and produce 300 jobs, and host live events and educational programs for people of all ages. The socio-economic impact in NYC is estimated over $350M annually. Construction is slated for later this year and will take 18-24 months to complete.
