CUPERTINO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 18, 2014) - DU Apps Studio, the team behind the popular Android apps DU Battery Saver and DU Speed Booster, has announced that it will be celebrating Earth Hour 2014 with a contest to raise awareness about the ways in which people can save energy and time using their smartphones. Participants will be eligible to win new Android smartphones and tablets.
As part of the promotion, the DU Apps Studio team has created a variety of infographics that illustrate the problems and effects of short battery life and slow smartphone performance. These graphics will be released once a week on the DU Apps Facebook page, and will play a central role in the contest. The first graphic in the series illustrates the power consumption of the world's smartphones and is included here:
The Earth Hour "Power the Earth" contest will take place from March 21st to March 31st. Details can be found below, and at www.duapps.com/earthhour/.
Contest instructions:
1) On March 21st, visit the DU Apps Facebook page at www.facebook.com/duapps;
2) Answer the "Power the Earth" question posted on the DU Apps Facebook page by sending the DU Apps Studio team a private Facebook message;
3) Wait for a response to see if you've won a smartphone or a tablet!
Throughout the contest, new questions will be added, giving users additional chances to win a prize. Winners will be chosen at random from all correct answers received by the DU Apps Studio team.
