Strong results for 2013 and a high speeding-up of its presence in Asia

Sales rose by 7% of which 14% out of Europe (+20% in Asia) at constant exchange rate. The current operating income reached 7.1% of the sales and the free cash flow reached  € 4.8 M.  

Delfingen speeded up its footprint in Asia with the acquisition of:

• The Indian company Kartar Wire Industries, specialized in the protection of wiring harnesses and in the fastening of automotive interior trim and seat profiles, in September 2013; 

• The activity of wiring harness protection of the Chinese company Tianhai Hengbang, in the end of December 2013. 

These acquisitions marked an important step in the strategy of the Group as they enabled a speeding-up of its development in Asia and reinforced its leading position in the automotive wiring harnesses protection.

While carrying on its strategy, during the very first months of 2014, Delfingen:

• Speeded up its setting up on the Asian market with the creation in February of a new plant in Thailand; 

• Took position close to German carmakers and automotive suppliers with the acquisition of the companies Langendorf and MBG. It extended then its technical textile products offer and enabled Delfingen to offer the larger range of products in the market. 

In this context, Delfingen counts on a new increase of its 2014 sales figures and a strengthening of its financial performance.
