SILICON VALLEY, Calif. and CHICAGO, April 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blazent, the leader in Accurate IT Data, and Fruition Partners, a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions for the service management sector, recently co-hosted an online discussion titled "Ingredients for a Successful CMDB."
Representatives from over 100 small, medium and large ServiceNow customers participated in the session and interactive survey. Thirty-one percent indicated that data issues were the biggest hurdle they faced in their CMDB implementation, and sixty four percent of respondents stated that their CMDB data accuracy levels could be better.
"Enterprises have a substantial amount of institutional data that can be used to enforce asset management compliance, manage budget decisions and ultimately optimize service management operations. However, many organizations are unable to take advantage of this because their CMDB data is either inaccurate or incomplete," stated Eric Ferrington, Senior Process Consultant of Fruition Partners and co-host of the recent webinar with Blazent's Ken Perkins, Principal Systems Engineer.
"We've been helping large enterprises solve their IT data accuracy challenges for over 12 years, but more recently we're seeing small and medium-size enterprises recognize that their service relationship management initiatives will fail without accurate CMDB data," said Dan Benveniste, Chief Strategy Officer at Blazent. "Much like the large enterprise customers, we're pleased to help these small and medium-size service-oriented IT organizations accelerate time to value and gain the full benefits of the ServiceNow platform by ensuring the foundational data in the CMDB is current, complete and correct."

Blazent and Fruition Partners will showcase the newest release of Blazent's CMDB Data Accuracy Solution for ServiceNow at the upcoming Knowledge 14 conference in San Francisco (April 27 – May 1). They invite interested companies to visit their respective booths at the conference to arrange a private demonstration of this innovative solution that solves the growing problem of CMDB data accuracy, or, if preferred, companies can schedule a demonstration time in advance.
A follow-up webinar is scheduled for May 22, when EMA's Dennis Drogseth will be presenting his latest research findings from a Blazent and Fruition Partners-sponsored research initiative titled "Market Adoption of Next-Generation Asset Management." Details and registration information will be available in early May on both the Blazent and Fruition Partners websites.
