Annapolis Junction, MD, May 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Astrum Solar announced today that the national full-service solar installer serving homeowners and businesses has added Tom Sinnott as its newest EVP and Chief Financial Officer. Tom brings a significant amount of financial and operational experience in helping companies with national footprints grow their top and bottom lines through optimizing management of their corporate, sales and operational teams.

Prior to joining Astrum, Tom had a history of success over his 30 year career. Early on he worked as an auditor at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, then as a Controller at Jiffy Lube International, McGill Development Company, and Fair Lanes. Later Tom was named the CFO at Ajilon Consulting, an IT consulting and staffing firm that grew tenfold to $700 Million in revenue with over 5,000 employees across 40 branches during his 13-year tenure. For the following three years he was the CFO of Atlantic Industrial, a private equity owned company with revenues of $230 million that provided in-plant services to Fortune 100 companies and had 2,000 employees across nine branches. Afterwards, Tom became the CFO at Cornerstone Records Management, a private equity owned company that grew to over $60 million in revenues and 370 employees in just a few years. Most recently, Tom was the CFO for at Tate Engineering Systems, an engineering and service company with projects spanning two to four months in duration.
Tom has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland, and a CPA in Maryland. In March 2012, Tom received the Mid-Atlantic CFO of The Year Award by Smart CEO Magazine and he also sits on the board of directors of two Maryland-based companies.
