Wayne Animal Hospital Announces New Hours

WAYNE, Pa., May 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radnor Veterinary Hospital in Wayne recently announced that it will have new hours. In April 2014, the Wayne animal hospital began offering new evening hours. Wayne veterinarian, Dr. Leonard Donato, VMD, says this of the new schedule, "The expansion allows greater flexibility for us to be able to serve our clients in accordance with their busy schedules." He believes the new hours give pet owners more opportunities to take advantage of the many services the animal hospital offers.

The animal hospital is now open from 8:30 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Wednesday and Friday hours are from 8:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the evening and the hospital is open from 8:30 in the morning until noon on Saturdays.

Dr. Donato emphasized that this provides families with three evenings each week when they can take care of pet needs such as dental care, vaccinations, wellness visits, dermatological medicine needs, and senior wellness care. Dr. Donato believes the new expanded hours are a good move for the overall health and wellbeing of pets throughout the Wayne community.

Daily hours aren't the only ways Radnor Veterinary Hospital is expanding, Dr. Donato explains. "In addition to expanding our evening hours, we've also added an additional day each week for surgery. We now perform pet surgeries on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday."

In addition to traditional veterinary medicine for house pets, the Wayne veterinarian hospital also treats a wide range of exotic pets. The list of exotic pets the clinic treats includes birds, ferrets, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, rabbits, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, and more.

The Radnor Veterinary Hospital team include four veterinarians and several team members as well as volunteers, interns, and externs from local universities and high schools. Dr. Donato believes this allows the veterinarians to share their love of animals with young people who are interested in the animal health field adding that, "We have partnerships with local universities and high schools for volunteer programs and a regular student rotation with the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine."

Families visiting the Wayne veterinarian for the first time can download forms online and fill them out ahead of time in order to avoid delays upon arrival. The state of Pennsylvania requires all dogs over the age of three months to have valid licenses. Dr. Donato provides dog licensing services and says he is happy to help Wayne families with all their dog licensing needs.

Radnor Veterinary Hospital offers emergency and regular checkups, spay and neuter surgeries, pet dental care, pet dermatology care, and other pet wellness services.
