VIP Business Development Manager Graduates From ACT-IAC Voyagers Program, Becomes Fellow

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwired - May 28, 2014) - Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP), a leading provider of technology solutions, is proud to announce that its Business Development Manager, Kila Christensen, has successfully completed the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council's (ACT-IAC's) 2013-14 Voyagers Program.

Christensen, who has deep government and industry knowledge, was one of only 24 people to become an ACT-IAC fellow during this year's Management of Change (MOC) training and education event, May 18-20 in Cambridge, MD. She is passionate about strengthening relationships between industry and government through increased communication and collaboration, and also has a unique combination of experience, including customer relationship management, business development, and consulting.

"Kila has proven herself to be highly motivated, knowledgeable, and talented throughout her tenure with VIP, and we are fortunate to have her on our team," said Terry Miller, Public Sector COO for VIP. "I am confident that she will continue to act an asset not only for our company, but for the Voyagers Program as well. I look forward to watching her utilize the skills, relationships, and resources she has gained during the last several months."

Moving into its 10th year, the Voyagers Program is a highly-competitive, nine-month professional development course for today's "rising stars" in government and industry. During the program, Voyagers learn how to lead people, manage organizational change, drive company results, develop business acumen, and build coalitions.

After successful completion of the Voyagers Program, individuals continue their executive development in the highly-regarded community of ACT-IAC fellows, a trusted and collaborative network of more than 500 government and industry executives who work together to solve government's biggest IT challenges.

Christensen is the third member of VIP's federal team to be named an ACT-IAC fellow. VIP's Business Development Director, Mike Tock, and Miller completed the Partners Program in 2010.

"I am honored to be a graduate of the 2013-14 Voyagers Program -- the ninth graduating class in program history -- and a new ACT-IAC fellow," Christensen said. "I gained great insight throughout the nine-month program, and look forward to continuing my work with those I have met thus far, as well as VIP's current and future clients, to break down the barriers between government and industry, foster collaboration, and work together to advance the government's mission."
