Dr. Zhu is a seasoned litigator with significant experience advising companies in the United States and China on intellectual property issues.

Dr. Zhu arrives at WilmerHale from the San Francisco office of a major law firm. He has represented clients in intellectual property litigation, licensing and counseling, and has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in the United States and in more than 40 other countries. His clients have included multinational companies, technology companies and start-ups throughout the United States, Europe, China and Japan. Dr. Zhu also boasts technical experience in a wide range of industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, electronic devices, telecommunications, computer systems and software, renewable energy, automotive systems, and medical devices.

Dr. Zhu earned his PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1991, and his JD from Georgetown University in 1997. He is a member of the California, New York and Washington DC bars, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
