CloudPassage Hires Enterprise Security Veteran as Executive Vice President of Global Sales

Brian Harmon Brings More Than 50 Quarters of Continuous Sales Success to Cloud Security Innovator

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 5, 2014) - CloudPassage, the Software Defined Security (SDSec) company, today announced the addition of Brian Harmon as Executive Vice President of Global Sales. Harmon brings a proven track record of enterprise security sales experience, leading efforts at companies like Palo Alto Networks and Trend Micro.

Harmon has more than 25 years of enterprise sales experience, which includes driving more than 50 quarters of year-over-year growth, revenue and profits. While at Palo Alto Networks, Harmon grew the sales team from six to more than 70 and represented over half of the company's revenues, fueling one of the most successful IPOs of recent years. Harmon has proven expertise at leading startups to sales and revenue success even through challenging economic climates.

"CloudPassage holds a critical position for the continued growth of the cloud. Enterprises recognize the benefits of the cloud -- cost, scale and flexibility -- but need a solution that offers much deeper security and visibility," said Brian Harmon, EVP of Sales at CloudPassage. "I am excited to help CloudPassage fill the void left by traditional security solutions and enable enterprises to move seamlessly to the cloud."

Drawing from his experience leading efforts for enterprise technology and security companies, Harmon will lead global sales efforts for CloudPassage. He will focus on growing the sales team, shaping a culture of success, driving sales and revenue, and executing on a long-term global sales strategy.

"The massively distributed, ephemeral nature of cloud infrastructure breaks traditional security solutions. At CloudPassage, we recognized early on that security and compliance for cloud environments must also evolve and purpose-built Halo to meet that need," said Carson Sweet, CEO of CloudPassage. "As the company accelerates into a hyper-growth phase, the leadership that Brian Harmon brings will help ensure CloudPassage's continued leadership in the space."

CloudPassage currently protects more than 400 production application deployments in the cloud, including a number of Fortune 1000 enterprises, and automates security for more than 10,000 new cloud workload instances each month.
