MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2014) - On June 11th, Great Wolf Lodge, North America's largest family of indoor waterpark resorts, celebrated the official grand opening of Great Wolf Lodge New England. Located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the resort is the region's newest destination for families to experience for a weekend getaway, or family vacation.
"We are thrilled to open Great Wolf Lodge New England," said Great Wolf Resorts CEO Kimberly Schaefer. "With summer just around the corner, we look forward to welcoming families to our newest resort. Great Wolf Lodge offers value, convenience, and fun all under one roof so that parents can focus on having a great time alongside their children."
The indoor waterpark resort is a first-class destination, complete with more than 400 suites, a wide variety of entertainment, dining and amenities for everyone. With signature water slides and attractions, including the thrilling six-story, Howlin' Tornado; Slap Tail Pond wave pool and the River Canyon Run family raft ride, Great Wolf Lodge New England has something for everyone. Sure to soon be a favorite, the first of its kind, Wolf Tail water slide drops riders straight down 20 feet before sending them out on a full 360 loop.
The waterpark is just the beginning of the Great Wolf Lodge New England adventure. The giant Howlin' Timbers Play Park offers hours of excitement. Complete with indoor mini golf, Ten Paw Alley mini bowling, and more, Howlin' Timbers will be a destination in itself.
Exclusive to Great Wolf Lodge New England, Howlers Peak Ropes Course is something the entire family can experience together -- high above everyone else. The 30 foot tall Howlers Peak Ropes Course is the brand's first and only indoor ropes course experience. Guests wear harnesses and venture across several rope pathways. Younger children can also walk alongside their parents on a smaller course designed just for them.
Signature Great Wolf Lodge experiences including Scooops Kid Spa and the interactive, live-action game, MagiQuest also offer memorable moments. And each night, everyone gathers in the lobby for the interactive Forest Friends Show and Story Time before heading to bed in one of the lodge's themed suites.
In honor of the resort's grand opening, guests can save up to 30% on their reservation by booking a visit by July 4. Reservations can be made online at greatwolf.com or by calling 866.670.9653.
