CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2014) - The Spectrem Affluent Investor Confidence Index (SAICI®) increased the seven-year high it reached in May to 11 points, according to the June report released today by Spectrem Group. The Spectrem Millionaire Investor Confidence Index (SMICI®) reached a five-month high at 16 points.
The Spectrem Group indices measure the investment confidence of households with more than $500,000 of investable assets and more than $1 million of investable assets, respectively. The June SAICI and SMICI are each up nine points from this time last year.
"The Spectrem Affluent Investor Confidence Index has posted gains in each of the last three months, something it has not accomplished in almost a year," said George H. Walper, Jr., president of Spectrem Group. "This, coupled with increases in the Spectrem Millionaire Investor Confidence Index in each of the last four months, indicates a bullish market mindset, especially among non-Millionaire investors, who are generally more cautious and risk-averse than Millionaires."
Millionaire investors, traditionally the most confident in their financial knowledge, are uncertain how long the market can remain bullish. They consider the nation's political climate to be the most serious threat to achieving their financial goals.

Methodology
The Spectrem Affluent Investor Confidence Index (SAICI ®) is based on 250 monthly online interviews with the financial decision-makers in households with $500,000 or more in investable assets. The Index has a margin of error of plus or minus 6.2 percentage points. The Spectrem Millionaire Investor Confidence Index (SMICI ®) is based on a subset of the overall survey group.
