Key Management Leaves Company to Launch Start-Ups; Organisation Will Transition Roles to Growth Region of Latin America


LUXEMBOURG, June 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Metro International S.A today announced that two senior management team members - Maggie Samways, Executive Vice President and Global Editor in Chief, and Jeremy Bryant, Vice President Global Marketing and Logistics - will depart to pursue individual entrepreneurial opportunities.

Following rapid growth in Latin America, Metro International will now move to centralise those functions and departments in Santiago, Chile.

Bryant has been instrumental in implementing the latest global distribution set up, enabling Metro to achieve a continuous year-on-year readership increase for over 12 years. His leadership of global marketing activities helped strengthen the brand and reach, providing unprecedented ROI.

Samways created and built a unique central newsroom and content syndication hub, supporting the diversity of 25 countries in 15 languages, and attracting the contribution of top talent and key influencers. She also engineered exclusive global partnerships with some of the most interesting and irreverent tastemakers of our time, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Lady Gaga, Richard Branson, Will and Jaden Smith, to name a few.
