OAKLAND, Calif., July 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alameda Health System (AHS) announced today that Tyler J. Bennett has been named Vice President of Ambulatory Care Services. Mr. Bennett will oversee all of AHS' hospital and community-based clinics, including planning development, funding and strategic initiatives.

Mr. Bennett has over 20 years of physician, hospital, and consulting experience in ambulatory care operations, service line and business development, financial management, and strategic planning.
Most recently, Mr. Bennett was the Director, Delivery System Strategy at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals for the Northern California Region. In collaboration with health plan/hospital and medical group senior executives, Mr. Bennett provided strategic leadership and consultation on the development and implementation of the integrated delivery system strategy for three service areas with 4 hospitals and 1,100+ physicians across 25 medical office buildings serving 750,000 health plan members.
Previously, Mr. Bennett was the Director of Ambulatory Services for the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) and California Pacific Medical Center. At SPMF, he provided leadership and direction for 8 multi-specialty physician practice divisions, 3 outpatient hospital departments, and 12 outreach sites located throughout California and Nevada.
Mr. Bennett received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nevada Reno. He holds a M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at the University of San Francisco.
