ArmourLite Shatters $300 Price Barrier for Tritium Illuminated Watch with Swiss Movement and Sapphire Crystal

ArmourLite Caliber Series watches begin at $299.00

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla., July 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Where will your watch take you? Climb higher, go further, dive deeper, and see brighter! No more limitations with your watch!

ArmourLite Watch Company continues to innovate and offer exceptional quality at a reasonable price. The introduction of the ArmourLite Caliber Series earlier this year shattered the $300 price barrier for a tritium illuminated watch with a genuine Swiss Made movement and sapphire crystal. Beginning at only $299.00 with a nylon nato-style band, the Caliber Series watches represent the first ArmourLite tritium illuminated watches to feature ultra lightweight polycarbonate case construction with anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The watches are powered by reliable Swiss Ronda 515 quartz movements. A unidirectional rotating bezel with a tritium marker is great for keeping elapsed time. For the avid diver or outdoorsmen, the watches in the Caliber Series offer 200m of water resistance. Each model in the Caliber Series features green and orange Swiss T25 tritium markers.

"Our challenge was to provide the best quality parts in a watch at a very affordable price," explains Ashley Diener, CEO of ArmourLite Watch Company. "I believe we have exceeded our own expectations."

ArmourLite Caliber Series models AL601, AL611, and AL621 have a blue accent on the dial and bezel. AL602, AL612, and AL622 have an orange accent on the dial and bezel. AL603, AL613, and AL623 have a red and white accent on the dial and bezel. AL604, AL614, and AL624 have a yellow accent on the dial and bezel. Models AL601, AL602, AL603, and AL604 come with a black nylon nato-style band with colored stitching matching the accent on the dial and bezel. AL611, AL612, AL613, and AL614 come with a heavy-duty black nitrile-butadiene-rubber (NBR) band. NBR, a synthetic rubber, is heavily resistant to oils, greases, and extreme temperatures. Lastly, models AL621, AL622, AL623, and AL624 come with a black physical-vapor-deposition (PVD) stainless steel band.

The ArmourLite Caliber Series watches offer the following features:

-            Green and orange T25 tritium markers

-            Ultra lightweight polycarbonate case construction

-            Ronda 515 Swiss quartz movement

-            Anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal

-            200m water resistance rated for diving

-            Unidirectional elapsed-time bezel with a tritium marker

-            Nylon nato-style band, NBR rubber band, or PVD stainless steel band

The hands, number markers, and bezel on each ArmourLite Caliber Series watch features small, self-luminous tritium-filled vials. This safe and reliable permanent illumination technology allows the user to easily tell the time at a glance, even in the darkest lighting conditions. Swiss tritium illumination is commonly used for the instrument dials in aircraft, compasses and night sights for weapons since it does not require a battery or external power supply and it remains constantly illuminated for 20+ years.
