STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2014) - BT announced on July 17th the launch of BT One Phone. This launch follows the April 2014 announcement of the joint venture between OnePhone Holding and BT to develop innovative mobile services for the UK's small to medium sized businesses (SMBs). The new service brings together all of a company's fixed lines, mobile phones and internal office phone systems into one service that is hosted in the Cloud and delivered on a mobile.
As the BT One Phone system is cloud-based, all of the feature-rich call management services of a phone system, typically available on a desk phone, are now available on their mobile, wherever they are. Combined with 4G and unlimited access to over 5 million BT Wi-fi hotspots, employees now have both the data and voice connectivity to let them be as productive outside the office as they are at their desk. The service also makes it easy for businesses to manage their communications, through the BT One Phone portal.
Anders Bjorkman, CEO, OnePhone, said: "BT One Phone is designed to meet the trends of more and more work being done away from the office, and customers wanting a premium, managed service from a supplier they can trust. Our cloud-based phone system offers all the same functionality of an office-based phone system but without the need to be tied to a desk -- it's all there on your mobile."
Graham Sutherland, CEO, BT Business, added: "Last week's announcement of BT One Phone is the first result of the relationship BT has built with OnePhone. This is a strategic initiative for BT Business and BT is delighted to be working with OnePhone as a partner."
