Charlotte, NC, July 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Electronic payment solutions provider EasyDraft announced today that it has received its Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements no. 16 (SSAE 16) certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The certification affirms that EasyDraft's information systems have achieved highest standards of privacy, security, availability, processing integrity and confidentiality of its clients' data.

The SSAE 16 is a type II Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 audit, but EasyDraft is also working to complete the SOC 2 audit, which is based upon the AICPA's Trust Service Principles and concentrates on the firm's non-financial reporting controls as they relate to a system's data confidentiality, security, privacy, availability and processing integrity. The firm expects to complete the SOC 2 audit in September.
Prior to the SSAE 16 audit, EasyDraft was under SAS 70 audit security, but chose to reaffirm its security commitment with the more intense SSAE 16 audit when it replaced the SAS 70 audit.
