CloudPassage Taps Security Industry Veteran Amrit Williams as Chief Technology Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 31, 2014) - CloudPassage, the Software Defined Security (SDSec) company and creator of Halo, the only security solution purpose-built for cloud infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Amrit Williams as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Williams, a 20-year veteran of the enterprise security and software industries, brings substantial experience to CloudPassage, having served as a CTO at IBM, Quantivo and BigFix and having led engineering operations at security software companies nCircle and McAfee. Williams is also well known for his time as a lead analyst at Gartner managing their information security and risk research.

Prior to his successes in CTO positions, Williams was a lead analyst for Gartner in their information security and risk, IT operations, and infrastructure research and consulting group. Prior to Gartner, Williams was the Director of Engineering at nCircle Network Security, which was acquired by Tripwire, and Director of Engineering Services at McAfee, which was acquired by Intel.
