Bell Investment Advisors' Founder Appointed President of Oakland East Bay Symphony's Board of Directors

OAKLAND, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 26, 2014) - Bell Investment Advisors, www.bellinvest.com, a Bay Area registered investment advisory firm, announces Jim Bell, CFP^®, President and Founder, has been appointed President of the Oakland East Bay Symphony's (OEBS) 28-member Board of Directors. Jim's passion for classical music since childhood and his involvement with OEBS for over thirty years have led him to his new position as board President after a two-year term as Director-at-Large.

The Oakland East Bay Symphony was founded in 1988 with a mission to make live symphonic music available to Oakland and the East Bay Area. Led by the ever-adventurous and creative Music Director and Conductor Michael Morgan, OEBS provides innovative classical programming through its symphony; symphony chorus; and youth education program, Music for Excellence (MUSE), a comprehensive instrumental music program that serves to complement the Oakland public schools' music curriculum. As board President, Jim will lead the board in their direction of these programs.
